Excellent product. Worked like a charm with no problem. IT took a good amount of time to store my data but there was also a lot of data and the entire content of my hard drive including programs to be stored. Western Digital produts, I have a lot of confidence on.
Quiet and Seamless January 7, 2009
This works as advertised and does a great job. I have an iMac that uses Time Machine, and it backs up constantly onto the My Book. I also have a Sony Vaio laptop that I plug in occasionally to move things around with and it does great in that arena as well. It looks like a book and works seamlessly, and it's got a lot of space. I love it.
Just what I was looking for January 6, 2009
We purchased this extrernal hard drive to back up our PC and store our photos and videos. What can I say? It is exactly what we wanted/needed and expected. I took it out of the box, plugged it in and copied my files over - it was that easy. If you need space, you can't beat the size of this drive for the price. We use Western Digital products at work as well and have not been disappointed yet. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for extra storage space for their PC.
