Small and attractive package January 7, 2009 The Toshiba 250GB external hard drive is small and extremely portable, making it a breeze to take it between home, school and office with your important files. Communicates with both macs and PCs. It is a little slower than hard drives with a firewire attachment.
No tech support December 31, 2008 I bought two of these one a 250 G and a 320 G. Both installed fine and worked fine for a while. One dissapeared from the system. I unpluged it and pluged it in again and it was no longer recognized.I went to Toshiba on line for help and put my question in and the system said it would be answered in the next working day. That was two weeks ago and still no reply. I called and left a voice mail message with my return number. That was one week ago. No reply. Now I'm stuck. There is no tech support if you have a problem.
250GB USB2.0 Portable External Harddrive(Toshiba) December 21, 2008 This product work good. The actual capacity is like 232GB even if there's an installer inside but its only 48MB typically. As an storage device this worked well but I'm having a problem on this sometimes if I safely remove from my computer. I can't safely removed this sometimes its pop up message is being used. I have close already all of the items opened even it's not for this device. That's only what I have for now and I hope that this could help you guys. Next time I will try to format this TOSHIBA 250G External drive to have a real 250G capacity and see if can be detected by the computer.Good Luck!!!!!!
It's not working well December 19, 2008 When I try to copy something into the disk, it seems to disconnect and connect again without any reason at all, and the copy of the files is not well done so I have to start again. It happens almost everytime I use it, and it makes little sounds before disonnecting and then when connecting again. It's not what I expected at all.
