5 out of 5 stars Great kitchen addition   October 13, 2008

We purchased this unit during a kitchen remodel. It replaces the older smaller tv of course, but is a much nicer unit. We use it basically as our kitchen tv and a way to browse the internet. We have it hooked into the family network via a cat-5 cable connection, although the wireless does work, it's just a good distance from the wireless access point. The feature that I like the most is the ability to display HDTV signals from an antenna that I placed in the attic; it's just hanging there pointed in one direction. So I use both the coax signal inputs; one from our cable provider and one from my antenna in the attic. I can get reliable HDTV signal from 3 stations in our area - would get more with an outside antenna with a rotator unit. I love the fact that with the remote control, you can backup and replay a portion of a tv program. I've also loaded a selection of my favorite audio CDs on to the disk, so it's my jukebox as well. I've had no problems at all with the unit. The only thing I would change is that the unit will turn itself on after I've shut it down and I think this is to update some settings related to tv programming or virus updates, etc. If I looked hard enough, I could probably find those. All in all - a GREAT unit. Everyone who comes in our kitchen want's to know 'What is THAT?' This kind of aggravates my wife who is the interior decorator who did the rest of the kitchen.

5 out of 5 stars Best Computer out there for your money   March 24, 2008

We first purchased the HP IQ770... That was a great start but while we were at the store I found this model. The next computer that we purchased was the 775. We purchased 3 of them, they are for our business. We love them. They are easy to use. After having the problems with the keyboard on the 770 I invested in a Microsoft Wireless Keyboard but found that I didn't really need it with the 775. I like it better then the condensed keyboard, but it doesn't tuck away like the keyboard that came with the computer.

We also love the option of being able to watch and record tv with our computer.

If you are looking for something new, definitely give this a try. You will soon find that you are trying to touch every screen that you come to :)

5 out of 5 stars Cool machine.. .   February 19, 2008

This computer is a lot of fun and easy to use, the touch screen adds a new dimension which can make games more interesting and increases ones overall level of interactivity with the machine. The multiple ports make for great versatility and TV, calendar increase placement options; it is great for the kitchen environment. The built in wireless connection is easy to use, the wireless keyboard works well and I haven't had the problems described with the IQ770. The computer was at first a little slow moving - especially when booting up and Vista would hang if I wanted a complete shutdown. So I spent about $125 and upgraded the memory to 4 mb (Kingston) and it now moves MUCH faster (Vista is a memory hog) and, amazingly, Vista now will shut down quickly w/o hassles!! Overall it's quite cool, I'm sure Apple will answer it soon but for windows users it's sort of a breakthrough in imagination and originality.

5 out of 5 stars Great Computer   February 7, 2008

I recently purchased this computer and I'm very happy with it. It's fun to use and makes computing a whole new experience again. The touchscreen is a great and can even be used online and with gaming. My Pogo experience got a whole lot better! lol

The only thing that I find hard to get used to is the keyboard is a little smaller than I'm used to. Some of the keys are compact and in different places on the board. For example, the right shift key is the same size as a regular letter key and at times I miss it entirely while typing. Once I get used to it, I'm sure it will be fine.

If you want a computer that doesn't take up alot of space and is very fun to use, I couldn't recommend this one higher.

Enjoy!
